Kylie joined Natural Area in 2015 after completing her Diploma in Horticulture and a Bachelor of Science (Restoration Ecology) with honours at the University of Western Australia. Kylie started her career as a member of the Natural Area field crew. Due to her expertise in plant identification she was often on secondment to the Natural Area consulting department and in 2018 became a permanent part of the consulting team. She has carried out various environmental site assessments, flora, vegetation and fauna surveys, including flora identification, weed mapping, targeted DRF surveys and level 1 and 2 fauna surveys (6B skill level), including wetland environments.
